My Approach

Speech to Print vs Print to Speech

Nora Chahbazi, the founder of EBLI, wrote a informative blog about the differences between the Speech to Print method (that EBLI is based on) and the traditional Print to Speech method.

Why do I use a structured linguistic literacy approach for instruction?

While there are other methods of instruction that have traditionally been used and recommended for struggling readers and students with dyslexia, I found that a speech-to-print method  (also known as Structured Linguistic Literacy) is an effective and efficient option. Many students who receive EBLI instruction tend to take months versus years for them to become on grade level in reading. While all students are different and need more or less support, a speech to print approach is appropriate for everyone!
